Project Overview

In December 2017, a metallurgical mineral processing enterprise in Xinjiang purchased a complete set of rotary lime kiln and auxiliary equipment from Zhongyi Mining to build a full lime calcination production line. This customer needed a stable industrial rotary kiln system to calcine limestone into high-activity quicklime, serving their local ore beneficiation and smelting business. The dry, windy, high-dust desert environment in Xinjiang set strict standards for the wear resistance, dust sealing and continuous operation performance of all rotary kiln equipment.

After evaluating multiple manufacturers’ rotary kiln solutions, the client confirmed Zhongyi Mining as their exclusive supplier of rotary kiln and dryer system. Our team finished on-site survey, customized design, factory manufacturing, field installation, full commissioning and operator training within 45 working days, and formally put the rotary lime kiln production line into operation on December 11, 2017.

On-Site Rotary Kiln & Auxiliary Equipment Configuration

Main Rotary Lime Kiln
The core long cylindrical rotary lime kiln is made of thickened wear-resistant steel plate, matched with heavy-duty riding wheels, supporting roller assemblies and hydraulic adjusting jacks. The balanced support structure ensures uniform kiln rotation and even heating of limestone, which is the core equipment of the whole lime production line.

Rotary Kiln Driving Unit
Consists of heavy-duty reducer and industrial drive motor, providing constant torque for 24h uninterrupted operation of the rotary kiln body, suitable for large-volume continuous lime calcination work.

Rotary Kiln Induced Draft & Dust Removal System
Complete ventilation system including centrifugal induced draft fan, sealed flue pipes and vertical dust removal towers. This set of auxiliary equipment controls internal kiln air volume, discharges high-temperature waste gas and restricts dust emission to meet local environmental protection standards in Xinjiang.

Matching Process Steel Structure
Multi-layer operation platforms, vertical preheating towers and finished lime silos form a closed calcination workflow, connecting raw material feeding, high-temperature calcination and finished product cooling together.

Our team went to Xinjiang to survey the customer’s plant site first, then customized the rotary kiln system matching their output demand. We finished all machine production in our factory, delivered complete equipment, sent technicians to guide field installation, debugged the whole production line until stable running, trained their operators for daily operation and simple maintenance, and keep offering spare parts supply and technical support afterwards.

Problems We Solved

  • Local desert weather has big temperature swings, heavy dust and strong wind. Our thickened kiln cylinder and fully sealed pipes avoid dust leakage and lower unexpected shutdowns.
  • Traditional kilns are hard to level and maintain. Our hydraulic jack design makes it easy to adjust supporting rollers, saving much daily maintenance work for the workshop team.

  • Uneven burning used to cause low lime activity and waste limestone. Our rotary kiln ensures consistent heating, improves lime quality and cuts raw material cost.

Client Feedback

Since commissioning on December 11, 2017, this Zhongyi rotary lime kiln production line has run stably all year round. Uniform high-temperature calcination greatly improves quicklime activity and reduces limestone raw material waste. The matched rotary kiln induced draft fan and dust removal tower effectively control workshop dust concentration.

The customer’s plant manager states that our industrial rotary kiln can withstand Xinjiang’s harsh desert climate without frequent breakdowns. The simple driving structure and adjustable supporting roller system save much maintenance labor and production downtime.
