What Is a Linear Motion Vibrating Screen?

Linear Motion Vibrating Screen, also called aggregate screening machine, is used for material classification and dewatering in mining, aggregate, coal, and recycling plants. It runs on a linear vibration path driven by two vibrating motors, moving material forward while separating different particle sizes through the screen mesh.

The screen surface keeps a stable motion, so materials are evenly distributed and screened. Capacity can reach up to 800 t/h depending on feed size and mesh configuration.

It is commonly used in sand production lines, mineral processing, and waste sorting systems. It handles both dry and wet materials, and keeps consistent screening performance in continuous operation.

Working Principle

The mining linear screen generates vibrational force through the counter-rotating, synchronized operation of two vibration motors, producing a periodic resultant force along a linear direction that drives the screen box to perform linear reciprocating motion, thereby achieving continuous material conveyance and screening.

Once the material enters the screen surface, the vibration first tosses it into the air and continuously loosens it, breaking up any agglomerations. Subsequently, the particles naturally separate into layers as they move, with finer material settling downward toward the screen surface. Finally, material smaller than the screen aperture passes through to become the undersize fraction, while larger particles move forward along the screen surface and are discharged from the discharge end, completing the classification process. The entire process is continuous and stable, making it suitable for the medium- to fine-grain screening of ores, coal, and sand and gravel aggregates.
