Project Overview
In May 2017, a manganese ore processing plant located in northern Myanmar partnered with Zhongyi Mining Machinery to upgrade its grinding system. The project was designed to handle 250 tons per day (TPD) of manganese ore, aiming to improve grinding efficiency and ensure stable downstream separation performance.
After evaluating multiple suppliers, the client selected Zhongyi’s MQY2136 overflow ball mill, which was delivered on May 11, 2017, via Yunnan and successfully installed at the mining site.
Customer Requirements
The client faced several operational challenges prior to the upgrade:
- Insufficient grinding capacity, limiting overall plant throughput
- Unstable particle size distribution, affecting beneficiation efficiency
- Frequent maintenance issues with existing equipment

Project Results
Since the equipment was put into operation, the MQY2136 ball mill has been running steadily with no major failures. The daily output meets the planned 250TPD target, and the discharge particle size is more uniform than before, which helps stabilize the downstream beneficiation process. On-site operators report that the machine is easy to manage, with fewer maintenance interruptions and lower overall operating pressure.
